History

1999	Foundation of Tropikal Pet A.Ş. in Istanbul.
2000	Starts to import Propac and Sportmix cat and dog food from USA-based Midwestern Pet Foods and starts to distribute products of Ferplast, Beaphar, ICC, Four Paws, Gardena and Weber in Turkey.
	Moreover, Tropikal starts to distribute pet accessories, Champion bone, bird food, bird crackers, bird toys and fish food. Finally, the Çarli cat litter is launched.
2001	Starts to import cat-dog food for Champion.
	Garden activities are separated from Tropikal Pet and are continued under Gardena-Dost A.Ş.
2003	In July, Tropikal starts the production of a new plant.
2004	The plant gets all required permissions to export to the EU.
2005	Goody brand is launched in January.
	The plant starts the manufacturing of Champion dry cat-dog food.
	First exports of pet food in the Turkish pet food industry. Tropikal Pet A.Ş. starts to export Goody and Champion dry cat and dog food.
2006	Champion and Goody become the market leader in Turkey.
	Reptile and rabbit food added to Champion product portfolio.
	Huge investments in R&D take place and the opening of a state-of-the-art analysis lab with world-class equipment is a fact.
2007	The plant is certified with the ISO Quality Management System Certificate.
2009	JFD-Just for Dogs and JFC-Just for Cats are launched to enter the higher quality segment in addition to Champion and Goody.
2010	Tropikal requires additional production capacity and an investment process is launched. The Riverside Company, a US based Investment Fund purchases 60% of Tropikal Pet.
2011	Tropikal Pet rebrands itself and starts to use a modern and sector-focused logo.
	The investment in Tropikal Pet’s production facility is finalized and the production capacity increased by 4 times.
2012	New Champion Premium brand is launched.
2013	Goody is the new market leader following the Goody ad campaign.
2014	Champion cat-dog reward and food portfolio is extended.
